Birch
This specie origins from the East coast of North America including Eastern U.S., principally Northern and Lake States. Only a few specimens grow in Europe and Asia. Yellow birch has a white sapwood and light reddish brown heartwood. The wood is generally straight-grained with a fine uniform texture.
Furniture, Millwork and paneling, doors, flooring, kitchen cabinets, turnings and toys.
Grades
Uniform in color (white or reddish tinge to light brown). Fish eyes are accepted. Checks, splits, stains and worm holes are not accepted.
